Creative Campus Global Initiative

For Creative Campus, Florence is just the first step!

Creative Campus stands on the belief that the arts should be at the center of the solutions for many of the world’s challenges.  Artistic communal projects strengthen confidence, communication, and innovative thinking.  Involvement with creative projects forms stronger and more compassionate leadership.

With the relationships formed and lessons learned from Creative Campus projects, FITC challenges you to spread these ideas to your own country, campus and/or community. Together we can create a global community with a shared enthusiasm in what the arts can do to better the world through empathy, communication, and collective creation.

Join the facebook group Creative Campus Global Initiative – and start connecting with others who will begin working on their projects in fall 2008.  Here you can begin sharing ideas and support.  Post your photos and videos and spread the word around the world!

There are certain parameters for creating Global Creative Campus projects:
1-    they must serve to connect at least two different groups of individuals
2-    they must serve a recognized need in your community
3-    they must force creative and intellectual inquiry and challenge
4-    they must involve or be inspired by local community members
5-    they must encourage participants to “go outside their comfort zone” in creating the project
6-    they must emphasize innovation and creativity in lieu of large budgets

Participants don’t have to have been Creative Campus students with FITC in Florence… Florence is the seed ground for this idea and all are encouraged to take part.  For more information visit the facebook page, write on the wall and hook up with other “CC” participants who are working projects right now.  They could use your thoughts, and would be happy to give you some guidance.  Then post your photos, share your videos on you tube….

Let’s use creative thinking, leadership and projects to make a positive statement in the world.

It’s your lifetime…. What will YOU leave behind?
